METHOD OF PAYMENT: Registration fees may be paid online with approved credit card. Competitors wishing to pay with cashiers check or money order will still need to print out the application after filling out the document online and must mail it to the Lubbock Office. INDIVIDUAL FEES: Entry fee is $50.00 for first sport and $10.00 for additional sport. Keep in mind that many sports have several events-that don't require extra fees. For example, if you sign up to compete in the sport of golf and you want to participate in all events listed for golf, your cost is $50.00. If you also want to compete in the pentathlon, your total fee would be $60.00. ($50.00 for golf and $10.00 for the pentathlon). The online application will compute the fees when you are finished entering all the events. Golfers, additional fees of $125.00 (green fees) are included in your application.
Three Point Shoot out fee is $10.00 if entered in another event or team event. If the competitor is only entering the Three Point contest, there will be a $50.00 individual fee. The entry fee for Dominoes is $10.00 if you are registered to compete in any other event. If you are just playing dominoes, then your entry fee will be $50.00. Team Event Fees - Basketball:
Basketball Fees are $240 for a team of 12 Players.

Flag Football Fees are $360 for a team of 18 Players. - Paintball:
Paintball Fees are $80.00 for a 3 person team 4 person roster. - Softball:
Softball Fees are $360 for a team of 18 Players. - Soccer:
Soccer Fees are $250 for a team of 13 Players.
- Volleyball 6-6:
Volleyball Fees are $240 for a team of 12 Players.
- Late Fees:
Late fees of $10.00 for individuals and $50.00 for teams will be assessed after the May 15th deadline. Applications processed online on May 15th, will not be assessed a late fee. Applications mailed with a May 15th, postmark will not be assessed a late fee. PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU SIGN UP ONLINE PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE OF MAY 15TH BUT DO NOT PAY YOUR FEES UNTIL AFTER MAY 15TH, YOU WILL BE ASSESSED A LATE FEE.
YOU MUST FILL OUT AN INDIVIDUAL APPLICATION FOR ANY SPORT EXCLUDING TEAM EVENTS!
ALL COMPETITORS, INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM, MUST PERSONALLY CHECK IN PRIOR TO COMPETITION AT THE HOLIDAY INN REGISTRATION CENTER, 3777 N. EXPRESSWAY, BROWNSVILLE. WRIST BANDS: Bands may be worn on wrist or ankle. Bands that are lost or damaged may be replaced for a fee of $10.00. Individuals, requiring a replacement wrist band, must go through registration again for verification. Wrist bands that appear to have been cut off or removed purposely will not be eligible for replacement. ELIGIBILITY: The Police Games require all competitors to meet the following basic standards, or have retired from an agency where, when employed, did meet these standards. 1. As your primary vocation be employed/retired as a law enforcement officer, parole, probation officer, correctional/detention officer on a full time basis. Retired military police officers from all branches of military service whose career duty assignment was law enforcement. Active reserve officers with at least one years service with the law enforcement agency who holds his/her commission (verification of active status and tenure is required) . 2. Law enforcement officers must meet the standards set forth by the state or country in which you work, and be certified in your state or country if your state or county requires such certification. 3. Fall within the guidelines of the agencies specifically included by the TPAF and not fall within those agencies specifically excluded by the TPAF, and if not specifically named be accepted in writing by the TPAF. Specifically Included: City Police Officers County Sheriff's Officers County Constable Officers State Police Officers Highway Patrol Officers FBI Agents Fish and Game Officers Park Rangers Port Authority Police ATF Enforcement Officers Drug Enforcement Officers District Attorney Prosecutors/ Investigators Federal/State Parole/ Probation Officers U.S. Secret Service U.S. Marshals Immigration and Customs Enforcement Customs and Border Protection Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Secuirty Administration Federal Postal Inspectors Commissioned Arson Investigators Active Commissioned Military Police/Investigators of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard Railroad Peace Officers Police Officers Assigned to School Districts Airport Police Officers and Hospital Police Officers as defined by 2.12 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures. All retired officers from agencies listed above, and employees of the Texas Criminal Department of Justice that carry a hazardous duty classification. Detention/correctional Officers from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. City, County, and Private Detention/Correctional Officers that are agency certified and/or are employed full time. Officers of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. All officers must present photo I.D or authorization that employee is a full time detention/correctional Officer from agency at registration). Specifically Excluded: Auxiliary Police Security Guards Police Cadets Police Students Non-Military Police Personnel and all Military Reserve Personnel Civilian employees of included agencies, Judges, Magistrates. (The TPAF Board of Directors will refine and update, on an ongoing basis, an all inclusive list of eligible agencies which are not specifically named above). AGE: Age classifications apply for both Male & Female (a competitor may compete in only one age category). Golf competitors, see golf schedule for differences in age classifications. Category 1 Junior Up to 29 Category 2 Senior 30-34 Category 3 Master 35-39 Category 4 Senior Master 40-44 Category 5 Golden Master 45-49 Category 6 Grand Master 50-54 Category 7 Golden Grand Master 55-59 Category 8 Elite 60-65 Category 9 Elite Master 65-69 Category 10 Elite Senior Master 70+ NOTE: 1. Team/Partner members will compete at age of youngest member. 2. A competitor may enter only one age category in an event. TEAM/PARTNER ROSTERS: It is the Captain or Coach's responsibility to completely fill in the Team Roster application online. If paid with credit card, the roster does NOT need to be mailed to the Lubbock Office. If paying with other than credit card, print team Roster and mail with fees to the Lubbock Office in one packet. Team Money orders, cashiers checks or corporate (sponsor) checks will be accepted.
Substitutions may be made on rosters at any time prior to your first competition at the Games, including contacting the Lubbock office. If a team member wishes to enter an individual sport, then he/she needs to fill out an individual application form and submit a $50.00 entry fee. Choose your partner (with their knowledge) before you send in your application. This also applies to Bass Tournament Teams, Bowling Teams, Pistol Teams, Golf Doubles and Racquetball Doubles, etc. If you need a partner or wish to be on a Bowling or Pistol team, you may request "Need Team" or "Need Partner" and will be teamed up if possible. No pick up teams, on site, will be allowed, except under State Coordinator direction. Volleyball 2 on 2 is the exception to this rule. That competition will be 100% on site pickup. TEAM SUBSTITUTIONS:
A. Roster substitutions must register at the check in center, The Holiday Inn, 3777 N. Expressway, Brownsville B. All substitutions must meet the same requirements as the original entrants. C. Once your team competition has commenced in an event, substitutions cannot be made. PROTESTS: Protests must be made known to the Event Coordinator immediately after or during the events, and a written protest must be submitted to the Event Coordinator within one hour of the completion of the game or event in question. UNIFORMS: Sports apparel must be clean and designed and worn so as not to make an indecent display of the competitor's person. It shall be the duty of the coordinator at the sport site to determine if each competitor is properly attired for their given event. FORFEITS: All competitors will compete at the time of competition and cannot make up or prolong (reschedule) any event in order to compete in any other event. When competing in more than one sport, whether as an individual or team member, you must be responsible for checking the schedule for times and location to avoid possible conflicts. In addition, the committee will not be held responsible for conflicts. Also the committee will not be responsible if the competitor is not registered in his /her sport, due to an incomplete application. FEMALE EVENTS: Females may enter any sport listed in the Schedule. Females may compete against men in any sport except Karate Kumite. Females may enter Karate Kumite and spar with other women. SHOOTING SPORTS: In the shooting events that utilize grades, i.e. Master, Marksman, etc., all shooters must produce an NRA card at registration. If no card is produced, then that competitor will compete in the master category. Cards are to be current at the time of competition. NO MINIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES REQUIRED TO HOLD AN EVENT: If you are the only one entered in your event, you must compete & finish your event to receive a medal. You will not be required to move up. *This rule does not apply to Karate.
AWARDS: Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the finishers of each event and in each age and weight division. Example: If two people shoot the lowest score in Golf, both will receive a Gold medal, the next finisher will receive the Silver and the next finisher will receive the Bronze. All medal ties will receive corresponding medals.
UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT: Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be condoned either during, before or after competition. Any behavior which brings discredit upon the Texas Police Games or Law Enforcement will not be tolerated. Any physical or verbal assaults on officials, competitors, spectators, coordinators, or ex-officio's will meet with immediate and the severest of penalty up to being barred from future participation.
ELIGIBILITY FOR GUEST: 1. Each authorized competitor will be allowed to sponsor a Guest to participate in the same event as the authorized competitor, except where designated ineligible. See information for each event for this information. 2. The authorized competitor is responsible for the conduct of the Guest. 3. Each Guest must fill out a separate application and list the sponsor’s name in the space provided on the application. 4. The registration fees are the same as any authorized competitor. 5. Every Guest will be required to follow all rules and regulations of the Texas Police Games, as set by the Texas Police Athletic Federation. 6. If sponsor is not able to attend or does not show for event, the Guest will not be allowed to participate. 7. Each Guest must be 18 YEARS old by opening data of current year’s games. 8. Guest competitors will ONLY compete against other Guest competitors unless special circumstance exists. The State Director for that event will make any decision in this situation.
